FAQ Research Group

🧠 Frequently asked questions and answers

1. Do I need a Cube or Sphere to participate in the research group?

No, you don’t necessarily need one. Swiped objects or products like our water bottle, a card, or a power capsule also work – as long as they are Add-on ready. Some elements of the research group can be used this way. However, the vast majority is designed for Cube and Sphere users.

2. Are there fixed dates for the coding course, or can I complete it at my own pace?

The coding course is available permanently in the Academy. You can complete it at your own pace. There are no fixed times. It’s a fully self-paced online course that adapts to your schedule.

3. If I write a code and book a coding slot, how many objects can I link to it?

One coding slot connects to one object. If the code is written for, say, a mug, you can later upload a photo of another mug – but the previous object will be unlinked.

4. How does publishing my codes in the shop work?

Once your codes are tested, you can offer them for free to the research group. If 50% or more of the feedback is positive, you’ll have the opportunity to sell your code in our shop. However, it will appear in a separate category – not as an official LuminoSana product.

5. If I publish a code in the Academy, does everyone who wants to use it need a coding slot?

Yes. Every code must be activated via a coding slot. One coding slot always connects a code to one object.

6. Can I join both the German and English community?

Yes! The Academy is available in both German and English. You can sign up for both. However, if you purchase courses, you should pick one language – otherwise, you might pay double. The language of the shop you purchase from determines your assigned community.

7. How long will the coding courses be available? Can I repeat them?

Yes, absolutely. The courses remain available to you permanently and can be completed as many times as you like.

8. Which research group products can I use if I don’t have a Cube or Sphere?

You can use a few Add-ons, like our water bottle, a Luminosana, or a power capsule (if Add-on ready), and any swiped products you've made Add-on-ready, e.g., via a Swiping Party.

9. In one video Oliver says products can be used for life, in another he mentions 3-year research group access. What’s correct?

The research group access is limited to 3 years. However, any services or products you receive during that time remain yours and can be used for life – even after leaving the group.

10. Oliver mentioned monthly Zoom calls. What are they about?

These calls are a mix of everything: freestyle discussions, coding, research updates, and whatever’s on your mind.

11. Is there a private community area just for pioneers?

Yes. All research group members get access to a private, protected community. Only people who’ve passed the ID check and signed the NDA are admitted – making it a safe space for open exchange.

12. Oliver said you can build a business. How does that work?

That’s a topic for 2026. Right now, it would go too deep to explore fully.

13. How many people will the research group have at most?

The group is planned for three years, with 100 people joining each month. That adds up to a maximum of 3,600 participants. If there’s much more demand, we might expand. The waitlist is managed so no one waits more than six months.

14. Is installment payment possible?

No.

15. Will there be more products developed by Oliver during the three years, and will he share the coding slots?

Yes. Oliver will definitely create more products. Other developers will also contribute. LuminoSana-developed services within the research group don’t require coding slots – they’re included and permanently available to researchers.

16. Under what conditions is a code rejected?

If it doesn’t follow the guidelines taught in the Master Course. There will also be an ethics committee to ensure the codes are legally sound.

17. What’s the difference between a regular coding slot and an Add-on slot?

A regular coding slot is used for Genius and Genius Plus products. An Add-on slot is strictly for Add-ons.
